Lauren's First Honor Society Show - March 20, 2008

The first time I saw the gentlemen of Honor Society perform was on March 20, 2008. The date holds a special place in my heart not only because it was the first time I saw the band I had been hearing a lot about, but also because it was my 23rd birthday.

The gentlemen performed at The Space ( in Hamden, CT. They performed as part of a "Battle of the Bands" contest. The response from the crowd wasn't the greatest, but they definitely gained a fan (that would be me, duh).

I don't remember what they played, but here are a few pictures from the night, under the cut:

Of course, I had them sign their poster for me:

Welcome to "Far From Shore"! This blog will follow us, Lauren and Katie, as we travel to and throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut to support the hottest band on the streets, Honor Society.

Now, you might be asking yourself "Who is Honor Society?", well, simply stated, they are four gentlemen who play awesome music. Still need more information? From their MySpace — Honor Society is the perfect storm of talent and vision…of musicianship and motivation…of business and pleasure.

Honor Society is where the great arena-rock acts of the eighties meet modern pop and hip-hop shows. Big beats, slick pop vocal harmonies and ripping guitar solos are well-executed and frequently delivered to large crowds of screaming fans.

Honor Society has just released new studio recordings with a sound and style to fit their personalities. The four gentlemen do not hope, but rather expect that you will enjoy them.

You know what? We enjoy them and we do not hope, but rather expect that with the aide of our blog, you will enjoy them too!

Traveling to concerts is nothing new to her as it is one of her favorite past times. Her favorite Honor Society song is Nobody Has To Know.
